Dear Borden County School Community:

During the week of May 18th-22nd the Borden County School will have a safety drill that will involve a total lockdown of the school, a simulation of an active shooter threat, and a school evacuation.  We emphasize that no guns or live ammunition will be used is this safety exercise.  The Texas Education Agency requires our school to have drills of this nature throughout the school year in order to maximize and promote the safety of our students.  Please be assured that we will do our utmost to minimize students from being upset while still preparing for an active threat.  Do not hesitate to call the school superintendent’s office or the school principal’s office if you have questions.
